For those of you that know it, the Florida beach is kind of warm. In the summertime it's so warm that at least two people a day burst simultaneously into flames but with the close proximity to the ocean we're usually able to extinguish them in time. The leagues of sharks swimming off the coast particularly enjoy those times, as it's so seldom they get to eat their food medium-rare. But I digress...
The reason I mention the heat is that five hours later, the crew was still in costume under the pounding sun. Although there was a slight run around their eyes on occasion, that makeup held like it was glued on. I suppose if nothing else it must be the ultimate sunblock, but the rest of us were starting to bake in our skin. Man, I can't wait til September, when I'll invariably wind up shooting at the southernmost point in Key West, awash in sweat and heatstrokes...I miss winter already.
